A variety of nutrition education and fitness programs help reduce the risk of falls and improve the health of participants.
The Nutrition and Fitness programs include:

- Gentle fitness classes to increase strength, flexibility and balance
- Nutrition education
- Senior community nutrition education
- Medication management
- Individual nutrition counseling

Partners in Safety Falls Prevention Program provides:
- Pro-Active Balance In-Home Exercise Program
- Medication management
- Home safety screening
- Minor home modification
- Case Management coordinating with police and fire departments to help high risk elders
Funding for these programs is provided by Alameda County Departments of Public Health and Area Agency on Aging (including Measure A tax dollars), Supervisor Scott Haggerty, Kaiser Permanente and Private Donations. |
