The Friendly Visiting Volunteer Program includes several parts:
Community volunteers are trained and matched with seniors to provide assistance with shopping and personnel correspondence. They also provide companionship for seniors through regular telephone contacts and home visits.
Two times a year luncheons are held for the clients served through this program, providing socialization for home-bound seniors.
Group projects, where local organizations such as the Rotary, corporations and churches assist in the clean-up of seniors’ homes and yards, have become regular events.
